FAQ and Resources

Who is the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System Transition Training suitable for?

It is intended for professionals working in anti-bribery, compliance, ethics, risk management, legal, finance, procurement, human resources, management systems and auditing roles within organisations implementing the ISO 37001:2016 system, who will be responsible for ISO 37001:2025 transition activities.

What is the main objective of the training?

The objective is to enable participants to understand the new and revised requirements introduced by ISO 37001:2025, identify the updates required in the existing Anti-Bribery Management System and effectively plan the transition to ISO 37001:2025.

Which areas have been changed in ISO 37001:2025?

The new version places greater emphasis on the importance of a compliance culture, adds considerations relating to climate change, explicitly addresses the management of conflicts of interest, clarifies concepts relating to the anti-bribery function and aligns the structure of the standard more closely with other management system standards.

Do organisations certified to ISO 37001:2016 need to transition?

Yes. ISO 37001:2016 has been withdrawn by ISO and replaced by ISO 37001:2025. To maintain the validity of existing accredited ISO 37001:2016 certificates, organisations must adapt their systems to the requirements of ISO 37001:2025 within the specified transition period.

By when must the transition to ISO 37001:2025 be completed?

According to IAF MD 30:2025, the accredited certification transition process from ISO 37001:2016 to ISO 37001:2025 must be completed by 28 Şubat 2027.

Should a gap analysis be conducted for the transition?

Yes. Conducting a gap analysis to identify the differences between the existing system and the requirements of ISO 37001:2025 helps determine the necessary actions, documentation changes, responsible persons and implementation timetable.

Does the existing bribery risk assessment need to be updated?

The organisation should review the impact of the changes introduced by ISO 37001:2025 on its existing bribery risk assessment. Particular consideration should be given to the impact of the organisation’s context, conflicts of interest, business associates, compliance culture and relevant risk factors on the existing assessment.

Does the training include practical exercises?

Yes. The training includes comparisons between ISO 37001:2016 and ISO 37001:2025, gap analysis, bribery risk and conflict of interest scenarios, process and documentation updates, case studies and exercises on preparing a transition plan.

Is there an examination at the end of the training?

Yes. An assessment examination is administered at the end of the training.
