Overview
ISO 50001 Energy Management System Internal Auditor Training has been designed to provide participants with the knowledge and auditing skills required to assess the conformity and effectiveness of an organisation’s Energy Management System, systematically examine activities aimed at improving energy performance, and conduct internal audits based on objective evidence.
The training is based on the current requirements of ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 50001:2018/Amd 1:2024, together with the guidance provided by ISO 19011:2026 for management system audits. ISO 50001 provides an Energy Management System framework aimed at the systematic and continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption.
The language of the training is Turkish. The training is delivered online.

FAQ and Resources
Who is the ISO 50001 Energy Management System Internal Auditor Training suitable for?
It is intended for professionals working in energy management, energy efficiency, sustainability, technical maintenance, facility management, production, operations, management systems and auditing, or who will serve as ISO 50001 internal auditors.
What is the main objective of the training?
The objective is to enable participants to evaluate the ISO 50001 Energy Management System systematically and objectively, interpret evidence relating to energy performance accurately, and conduct effective internal audits in accordance with ISO 19011 principles.
Which areas are evaluated during an internal audit?
The organisation's context, leadership, energy policy, energy planning, energy review, significant energy uses, energy performance indicators, energy baselines, energy data, operational controls, design, procurement, performance evaluation and continual improvement processes are evaluated.
Why is an ISO 50001 internal audit conducted?
An internal audit is conducted to evaluate whether the Energy Management System conforms to the requirements established by the organisation and the requirements of ISO 50001, whether it is effectively implemented, and whether it supports the continual improvement of energy performance.
Why is energy performance important in an internal audit?
ISO 50001 is based not only on the implementation of management system processes but also on the continual improvement of energy performance. During an internal audit, data relating to energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption, performance indicators and improvement results are evaluated.
Are energy performance indicators and energy baselines audited?
Yes. The internal audit evaluates whether energy performance indicators have been appropriately established, the accuracy of energy baselines, whether relevant variables have been taken into account, and the reliability of the data used.
Should ISO 50001:2018/Amd 1:2024 be taken into account during an internal audit?
Yes. During the internal audit, it should be verified that the organisation has determined whether climate change is a relevant issue within its context and has taken into account the climate change-related requirements of interested parties.
Is the training practical?
Yes. The training includes exercises covering energy reviews, significant energy uses, energy performance indicators, energy baselines, energy data analysis, internal audit planning, checklist preparation, objective evidence gathering, interviewing, observation, sampling and writing nonconformities.
Is there an examination at the end of the training?
Yes. An assessment examination is administered at the end of the training.
