Overview
ISO 50001 Energy Management System Auditor Training has been designed to train auditors who can assess the conformity, implementation and effectiveness of Energy Management Systems, evaluate the continual improvement of energy performance based on objective evidence, and conduct systematic management system audits.
The training is based on the current requirements of ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 50001:2018/Amd 1:2024, together with the guidance of ISO 19011:2026 for management system audits. The requirements of ISO 50003:2021 are also taken into account within the scope of third-party Energy Management System certification audits.
The language of the training is Turkish. The training is delivered online.

FAQ and Resources
Who is the ISO 50001 Energy Management System Auditor Training suitable for?
It is intended for professionals working in energy management, energy efficiency, sustainability, technical maintenance, facilities management, production, operations, management systems and auditing who wish to participate in first-, second- or third-party audits within the scope of ISO 50001.
What is the main objective of the training?
The objective is to enable participants to evaluate ISO 50001 requirements from an auditor's perspective, verify improvements in energy performance through objective evidence, and conduct management system audits systematically, impartially and using a risk-based approach.
Which areas are evaluated during the audit?
The organisation's context, leadership, energy policy, energy planning, energy review, significant energy uses, energy performance indicators, energy baselines, energy data, operational controls, design, procurement, performance evaluation and continual improvement processes are evaluated.
What is the difference between Internal Auditor Training and Auditor Training?
While Internal Auditor Training focuses primarily on first-party audits within the organisation, Auditor Training covers first-, second- and third-party audit approaches, audit programme management, audit team activities and more comprehensive practices relating to certification audits.
Why is energy performance important in an audit?
ISO 50001 is based not only on the implementation of management system processes, but also on the continual improvement of energy performance. The auditor must evaluate performance data and indicators relating to energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption, as well as evidence of improvement.
Are energy performance indicators and energy baselines evaluated during the audit?
Yes. The audit examines whether energy performance indicators have been established appropriately, energy baselines have been determined, relevant variables have been taken into account, the data is reliable, and the indicators are used effectively to evaluate changes in energy performance.
Why is ISO 50003 important?
ISO 50003 specifies requirements for competence, consistency and impartiality in the third-party auditing and certification of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems. It also covers matters such as the certification process, personnel competence, audit duration and multi-site sampling.
Should ISO 50001:2018/Amd 1:2024 be taken into account during the audit?
Yes. During the audit, it should be evaluated whether the organisation has determined if climate change is a relevant issue within its context and whether it has considered climate change-related requirements of interested parties.
Is the training practical?
Yes. The training includes practical exercises on energy reviews, significant energy uses, energy performance indicators, energy baselines, energy data analysis, audit planning, on-site auditing, interviewing, sampling, evaluating objective evidence, writing nonconformities and preparing audit reports.
Is there an examination at the end of the training?
Yes. An assessment examination is administered at the end of the training.
